If a player gets shot by an enemy while having more than one life, they lose a life, but instead of respawning and reverting to the normal tank, they get stunned (blinking) for a second, get a shield (helmet) for a few seconds to escape the attack and a ricochet sound effect will play to warn the player.

Here are the features I am currently working on: It added several different maps, enemies and gave enemy tanks the ability to pick up power-ups.So, I've downloaded the source code of my childhood game Battle City and I hope to warm myself up for 6502 stuff. Especially famous one being Tank 1990, which became the most popular version among the owners of NES clones. It has received many remakes and modifications from the fans.

It is one of the most well-known and popular games of the time. After the last stage, the game goes back to stage 1 and continues with increased difficulty.īattle City is considered a classic NES game. Enemy tanks get progressively harder later in the game and might use advanced strategies to beat the player. Each of them has different types of obstacles and terrain. The game contains 35 different stages (100 in Game Boy version). The goal of the game is to defend the base by controlling a tank and using it to destroy enemy tanks by shooting and collecting power-ups. It was one of the first games to allow two players to play simultaneously and one of the first NES games to allow players create custom maps via the edit mode. The game was also released for the Game Boy and Nintendo, and often found under the name of Tank on pirate multicarts. It's based on the arcade game Tank Battalion, which was published by in 1980. Battle City is a 2D multi-directional shooter video game, released in 1985.
